When You Work With Resilience Institutional Advisors, You Can Expect
ERISA 3(21) and 3(38) Investment Services
Our DNA is as a fiduciary. We help you review fiduciary practices and fulfill the ERISA requirement for plan sponsors and other plan fiduciaries to act prudently and solely in the interest of plan participants when selecting and monitoring service providers and plan investments. ERISA encourages the retention of experts to implement an investment strategy of compliance and procedural prudence.
We will act as an investment fiduciary for your ERISA qualified plan or non-qualified plan.
Philanthropic Investment Services
We will provide donor or goal-oriented investment management for foundations, endowments and charitable trusts, and fiduciary support to fulfill expectations. We will work with a current plan administrator or help identify one, if needed.
Experience and Attention
We partner with your investment committee and/or board. Partners have over 70 years of combined experience and credentials including JD, CFA, CFP®, and MBA. Through our partnership with SEI, we are able to provide attention and consistency that large banks and financial institutions are unable to match.

- Under a 3(21) engagement, we will act as a co-fiduciary on the plan’s investment options. We would assist in the selection of the investment options and make recommended changes when needed. The final decision for any changes would be the responsibility of the plan sponsor.
- Under a 3(38) engagement, we will assume full fiduciary responsibility for the plan’s investment options. By providing the highest level of fiduciary protection, we select the investment lineup for the plan and make ongoing investment decisions. We will notify the committee in advance of any upcoming investment changes.

Fulfilling Fiduciary Role under ERISA
Our DNA is fiduciary.
Nonproprietary Research
We use independent third-party nonproprietary research. Proprietary economic research can be used to further the sales of various financial products rather than providing an objective view of market conditions and economic prospects.
Disciplined Investing
By consistently applying principles of active asset allocation, diversification, and rebalancing, we help clients tune out short-term predictions, market buzz, and emotions.
Investment Policy Statement (IPS)
We will help you create an IPS which provides a roadmap for the management of assets. It outlines the appropriate investments, and process for selecting, monitoring and replacing investments within the company’s retirement plan; and address risk and return objectives and asset allocation for defined benefit plans and foundations.
Ongoing Review and Monitoring
We will confirm and discuss the IPS for any necessary changes, provide market commentary on general economic conditions, the equity markets, and fixed income markets. In addition, we will measure investment criteria set forth in the IPS, review fund performance to benchmarks, address style change, manager changes, and document decisions.
Wide Range of Design Considerations
We will assess asset classes included, number of options, complexity of fund lineup, the appropriateness of the funds to the employee base, single funds as opposed to model portfolios (target date funds), QDIA alternatives, and 404(c) compliance.
Monitoring Fees for Reasonableness
Retirement plans require a variety of services to be performed by plan administrators, record-keepers, custodians, investment advisors, consultants, and investment managers. We ensure fees match the services provided and are not duplicative or excessive. We will follow ERISA requirements to review and monitor investment costs for reasonableness and potential savings.
401(k) Plan Employee Communication
We provide help with employee enrollment and continued employee education to ensure participants’ retirement readiness.
