How Much Do You Charge?
We do not make commissions or win trips to the Caribbean for the advice we provide. We often find that people we meet are unknowingly paying more than what we charge through hidden product costs and fees and not obtaining the objective advice and dedicated service they deserve.
As a fee-only financial planning firm, we want our clients to know exactly what they pay. Our fees are based on a combination of investment management fees and a rigorous financial planning pricing calculation that takes into account the entire client situation and the resulting services we are providing, not just the investment account. Family cohesion services and business transition services are separate engagements from investment management and personal financial planning. We want to keep it simple and transparent. Fees are billed quarterly and, in most cases, deducted from the investment account.
One of the ways we save our clients’ money is by eliminating unnecessary or overly expensive financial products. If, based on the financial planning process, it is determined that we believe you need insurance (or any other product), we will advise you on what to purchase and where you can buy it. We do not sell insurance policies or investment products, nor do we receive commissions or kickbacks due to our recommendations.

Investment Management fees are billed quarterly in advance per the schedule on the left.
Financial Planning fees are billed separately quarterly in advance. The fee is derived through a rigorous pricing methodology and is based on the unique complexity of your situation. We do financial planning for investment clients. Business Transition Consulting fees are billed half at the beginning and half end of the engagement directly to the business, based on a customized scope of engagement addressing the complexity and items that will be addressed during the engagement. Family Office and Family Cohesion Consulting fees are billed to the family or business based on a customized limited scope engagement based on the unique complexity and timing of the situation. |
